Well this is about my 7th time book at the hotel 😊 I love the room always very clean and the ice cold air it has , especially when it’s over 90 degrees out side , and baby dose too after playing in the dog park , thanks for that baby pool for her 👍🐶 labs they love there water!! Over all I really enjoy the great Hospitality and service you always give me. Great staff Motel 8 !! Looking forward to the next visit , and baby said thanks for all the doggie treats 🐶 🐕.

The motel was clean and reasonably kept up, but I wouldn’t stay there as a single woman-with no partner with me. A lot of veterans and workers stayed there and the few women residents? stood outside to smoke and yell across at each other. There were a lot of friendly loud people milling around most of the night outside the door. The room had fresh paint & clean sheets, but the shower/tub hot water dial handle was broken and just dangled from the big protruding bolt. I worked for a while trying to get water from the shower. If the proceeds all go to homeless veterans, it was worth the price for the room. I’m all for worthy causes.

Clean room. I requested a refrigerator because of medical issues. I was asked if I need to be checked on each day, and they would do this. I can only eat some foods and if I don’t finish it, it has to be thrown away because I can’t keep it cold. The room was in need of work done to it, but I would go back because of they wanted to make sure that I was alright. This hotel takes care of homeless Vets and there is a great need for them. God Bless them for this.

I’m a district manager for a restaurant chain in Lake City and visit here twice a month. I always stay at Motel 8 not just because of the price but because for the value you will not find a cleaner room, a better nights sleep and a more caring staff. Yes, its true it doesnt look like much from the outside but as they say “do not judge a book by its cover.” You will be pleasantly surprised by how good the rooms are. I dont understand these people who write these ridiculous, nasty reviews because I have never had any issue with this hotel. No bugs, no stains on my sheets, great a/c’s, nice flat screens with Roku, and although people who are there long term do converse outside they are nice people and very courteous of others. I know for a fact the hotel buys dozens of brand new sets of sheets and pillow cases every month. Every time I have been there I find a gift basket of drinks, snacks and hygiene products waiting for me in my room and there are always mints on the pillow. I like the staff and the owner because they give an extreme personalized touch. They know everyone there and they treat their guests with respect and friendliness. You are not just a signature. You are a welcomed guest.

Well this is about my 4th time staying there… and each time its gets better, the staff is always friendly and helpful. love the location, very close to interstate, The room was very clean and the bed and pillows was very comfortable. And I think their A/C must be the best in any hotel.. Definitely will be booking a room again………………

Being remodeled, nice staff, nice clean room, outdoor free. Only problem would be for short people to reach the AC controls, AC mounted high.

Quiet! Quiet! Quiet!. Simply a great place to just relax and enjoy the night. Watch a movie on Netflix, grab a sandwich at Subway which is about 10 feet away, and lay back on a very comfortable bed. For a hotel that had been closed down for two years these guys have done an amazing job of fixing it up. I can honestly say this is one of the few hotels I have been to where it’s obvious the sheets were clean and new. Even as I sit here they are putting up new drapes, new towels, new shower curtains. It’s not a Hyatt, but it’s not $300 a night either. The staff gave the word friendly a whole new meaning. we had a gift basket waiting in our room welcoming us, and throughout our stay they accommodated our every need. I had mentioned that I like sugar free iced tea and five minutes later he brings me a quart bottle of Gold Peak sugarless iced tea that they sell in their marketplace, no charge. It’s just minutes away from the main part of town where you can find a hundred restaurants, walmart and other shopping. For the money I would stay there any time and will actually do so. What they lack in the extras they more than make up for it in their customer service and peaceful night sleep.

I’m glad to be back and thanks for the smiles . I just love this place, a motel designed for dogs, You can’t beat the price. I would love a bigger breakfast but a continental breakfast is OK with me . If you all can get it ice machine that will be even better even though subway gives me Free ice. All in all I will always come back as long as your place keeps the same prices and gives the same level of service.

The highlight of staying here is the dog park located right on the property. It’s fenced in and provides a nice secure space where you can play with your dog.

Their price was reasonable, and their service was friendly. But they still have a lot of work for it to be really ready. We were in room 18. The A/C is above the sink and you need a chair or something to climb on, to access it to change the settings. There was a stuffed chair that was not easy to move, but the only way to get near to the A/C. Also, the breakfast was not what we were expecting, and you had to stand in the small office to get it and eat it, or take it out with you. Not much of a selection to choose from, like most other places that we have stayed. Also, the bathtub was not safe–no grab bars and slippery sloped floor. A rubber mat for the floor would have helped. The freezer in the unit needed to be defrosted. But otherwise, our stay was pleasant enough, again, considering the price.
